President - Dean Peters
Dean started volunteering at the resort in 2015 and has been a board member for 8 years after joining the Canadian Ski Patrol. When not on the slopes patrolling he spends time assisting with maintenance of the T-bar and tow rope. He is the head Ski Patroller and can often be found wearing a red CSP jacket.
Vice President- Tyler Wilson
Tyler is a firefighter with the Department of National Defense in Wainwright. As a dad with 3 of his kids into skiing they have been regulars for quite a few years.
This is Tyler’s 2nd year on the board although he has been a member of the ski patrol for 3 seasons.
Secretary - Sheldon Gallagher
Sheldon is a school principal in Lloydminster and has enjoyed Mount Joy since moving here 12 years ago. His passion is cycling. He rides mountain and gravel mainly and switches to his fat bike when the snow flies.
This is Sheldon’s third year as Secretary and has been on the board for 5 years. He enjoys spending time on the slopes and helping out.
Treasurer - Denise Mager
Denise is an Environmental Scientist with an International background. A mother of 2 busy boys, she came to Lloydminster in the summer of 2023 and started volunteering at the hill the following year.
This is Denise's first year on the board.
Director - Luke Ferguson
Luke lives in Lloydminster and is a heavy-duty mechanic. Luke is a big part of our ski and snowboard instruction team. Luke has been on the board for three years.
Director - Dave Ulan
Dave is a farmer in the Blackfoot area and is an avid snowboarder in the off season. This is Dave’s second year on the board.
Director - Crystal Wakefield
Crystal lives in Wainwright and is an active runner in the Lloydminster/Wainwright community. Crystal is heading the concession this season.
Director - Brad Hoffman
Brad lives in Lloydminster with his wife and two children. Brad and his wife run the 4th Meridian Brewing Company in Lloydminster. This is Brad’s second year on the board.
Director - Jim Taylor
Jim was born and raised in Lloydminster. He owns a bicycle and snowboard shop called Grindin Gears. Jim serves as city counsellor, and this is his first year on the Mount Joy board.
